My update in the gym!
It is not easy with ra, but I go some weeks 2-3 times or 3-4 times a week.
My ra is rife like a toddler refusing to behave, but I get mo with it.

Lost 2 inches off my arms/2 inches off tummy/2 inches of waist. I'm proud of what I've achieved so far because ra just wants me to sit on my bum.LOL Razz Tongue BigGrin

I feel humbled that money has been spent on my knee replacement and to say thanks for my mobility, I just go out and enjoy being free with no sticks.LOL LOL Huh Razz

Please don't feel ra is an end to things.

Well done Jane!

If you can keep up any level of activity with RA it's a benefit so those times you do 2 sessions a week is just as good as doing 6 when you can. You know not to overdo it don't you?

I've joined a new gym after an 8 month break. It's nice to get back to it but they aren't used to my weird body. I'm waiting for a blood pressure check at the Drs because the gym were unhappy with my results. I'm doing a little - they gave me a mini programme but set it at heart rate 112, when my rate gets to 130 the equipment tells me to stop exercising and won't let me do anything. At my previous gym my heart rate quite happily ran at 130-150 while doing moderate exercise.

Of the 6 stone I lost before RA I have regained 5 stone. It's heart breaking really. Just can't do as much exercise and am rubbish at managing my food.

I need to get in the zone again with exercise. Any tips because I find it pretty boring and tiring despite my little iPod Shuffle keeping me company?

Long may you carry on on your new knee(s).

Angie
